MBA programme update — accreditation and rankings
Accreditation update
The SSM Geneva MBA is progressing through its next accreditation cycle. We will publish detailed rankings and accreditation updates throughout the year.
A first for Swiss higher education
SSM is the first Swiss higher-education institution to receive institutional accreditation and degree-granting authority from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) in the United States. DEAC is recognised by both the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), meaning an SSM degree carries international weight from day one.
Programme-level recognition
Our MBA is also accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), and SSM is continuously quality-certified under EduQua, the most widely-used quality label for continuing education in Switzerland. A state licence from Malta's MFHEA completes the picture, allowing SSM to award fully recognised Maltese — and therefore EU — degrees.
What this means for students
For applicants, these accreditations translate into three practical guarantees: your credits are transferable to major institutions worldwide, your qualification is recognised by employers across the EU and beyond, and the programme is subject to continuous external review on teaching quality, student outcomes and institutional governance.
